Yup. Obvious since you can only get it on google play. No direct download.

Never left win 7, and dont care to. Fuck 10.

Hell, the only reason I even went to Win 7 is because there was no good driver support for 64-bit XP. And 4GB of RAM just wasn't enough anymore.

      Damn.
I'm finding Firefox to be a bit slow and clunky.
It will take a bit to get used to it.

Nevertheless, it works, and it's not Apple/Google/MSFT.

You got the latest, right? 64-bit 55.0.1 is pretty badass.

You've installed microblock and Flash control extensions right?

Mine is 32b 54.0.1. But it's fully updated.

Do you have a 64 bit machine? I saw huge performance boosts going from 32 bit to 64 bit, and there were significant performance gains going from v54 to v55 as well.

The biggest performance improvement will come after installing add-ons to block all the stupid scripts and ads that run in the background behind every website these days.

Troof. Flashblock is the best add-on. Adblock is the second best.

    • I'm going to have to try it too. Win7pro 64 bit here. I'm using IE11 and need to change. Fucking scripts and ads are out of control. I did get adblock but it's pissing me off.

Is there a forum where a non-computer person can go for help?

Thanks for poasting this info.

It's simpler than you might think.

      DL Firefox.
Once you have it, open it up.
There's a search bar up top, a bit to the right. Look for Adblock Plus Firefox and Ghostery Firefox.
After the search, click on the appropriate item. You'll get a window/tab that talks about firefox plug-ins. Follow the directions, it's super easy.

To transfer your bookmarks from IE to Firefox, go to that little icon to the right of the star. Click on it and go to Bookmarks toolbar. A new window pops up; look at the top. There will be an import bookmarks and settings thing to click. Click it and check off everything on the next page/window. Then let it do its work.

You can access your bookmarks from the same icon near the star. Takes some getting used to.
