• Circuit City Is Coming Back
https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2018/01/the-corpse-of-circuit-city-will-rise-again-on-february-15/

"Circuit City CEO (((Ronny Shmoel))) confirmed on Monday that something called Circuit City will arrive as "a new, more personalized online shopping experience" starting February 15.

(((Shmoel))) claims that the company has put together a fully fledged inventory and distribution system, with a mix of known electronics brand names and "tier-two and tier-three" names. The same cannot be said for its claim of eventual brick-and-mortar showrooms in the neighborhood of 8,000-10,000 square feet, however. (((Shmoel))) already backtracked on similar showroom promises in 2016, and his CES pronouncement of future shops included no hard confirmations of locations or dates. But for anybody who dares to dream, Circuit City's showroom design partner, Taylored Group, released a concept render of its store vision which looks like a Radio Shack as if rendered in a Taiwanese hot-take news video

• Trevs... A Windows 10 Creators Update Question
..
Thank you! I'll take a look at it.

I was up at 5 AM. To expedite getting these backups done, I had the system create a Microsoft system image backup. I cannot tell if this backup was completed. It looks like the Windows 10 Creative Update keeps trying to install itself over-and-over. There's nothing on the screen that shows any kind of "completed OK" message.

Right now, I'm running the Windows 7 backup that's included as part of the Windows 10 settings panel. A couple of years ago, I could never get this to complete reliably. Once this is done, I'll try for the system images again.

>Jew Crypt is the name of a ransomware cryptovirus which has a lockscreen feature. The ransomware is believed to be still in development. After infection, the Jew Crypt cryptovirus displays a window with its ransom message and demands the sum of 0.1 BitCoin for decryption. Read below to see what you can do to recover your files.

>The crooks who are behind the Jew Crypt virus have laid out their demands in the ransom note shown above. The ransom price is 0.1 BitCoin, which amounts to around 100 US dollars. You should NOT in any circumstance pay the crooks. Nobody could guarantee you that you will get your files recovered.

>The ransomware appears to be written in Visual Basic, judging from the labels left on the ransom note. If you want to unlock your files, you can type the code "JewsDid911" - your files and PC will be unlocked.

• POLL: Do you listen to broadcast radio?
Page: 2
Local FM classic rock station has some old-time DJ stuff with two of the fuckers actually humorous with adult-oriented material. The station supports our Legion post in several ways. They interview a veteran weekly and the post pays for the lunch and the interviewed is placed upon the stations' Web site. Fuckers even have funny commercials. The ads the station creates for the firm are hilarious at times. Locals actually mention them in conversation. I am surprised this local FM 70s to 80s mostly oldies station is so wild here in the fucking Bible Belt.

I shoot the shit with the head DJ/programmer/manager regularly when he is at the post. He grooved on our interview. Typical interview is around 20-minutes. Mine was over an hour. Yah' see... I wanted to hear about his crazy shit with radio. He wanted crazy Navy shit. A two-way street, yah' know. He had to edit a lot from the tape before placing it on the Web. He kept the unedited version for sharing with friends. Hears they get a kick out of the crazy shit... all of it true but I covered my ass when we started recording... no promises... this is all 169% true except where I lie. You decide if and where I lied. He smiled knowingly.

Otis XII... Otis Twelve. Humorous in an adult way at an Omaha FM station. Saturday and a live on-air thing at a fucking grand opening for a grocery store. I never have gone to that shit for my own reasons. However, bored, nothing going on and because the fucker was obviously a highly-intelligent well-read chap off I went. Expecting at least a small crowd there was the radio van and table and assorted shit next to the main entrance and... just one dude sitting there. A very few folks walking back and forth in and out of the store and not paying any attention to the event. Cool. I wandered over and the fucker was grateful for the company. He told me about earlier days when he and other fuckers gained everlasting fame with:

"Ogden Edsl (shortened from "The Ogden Edsl Wahalia Blues Ensemble Mondo Bizzario Band") was an American band, formed in 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska, by Bill Frenzer, Bill Carey and Otis XII. Their music was often darkly comedic and satirical, and was frequently featured on Dr. Demento's weekly radio program.[1]

• Ottawa turns to AI to predict suicide through social media searches
The Canadian government will soon hire an Ottawa-based company specializing in social media monitoring and artificial intelligence to forecast spikes in suicide rates.

A contract with Advanced Symbolics Inc., an AI and market research firm, is set to be finalized next month.

Working with the company to develop its strategy, the federal government will define "suicide-related behaviour" on social media and "use that classifier to conduct market research on the general population of Canada," according to a document published to Public Works website.

This pilot project will last three months, after which the government "will determine if future work would be useful for ongoing suicide surveillance," the tender document said.

• Facebook, Google and WhatsApp among tech titans told to join fight against terror or face tax blitz
Internet giants face a multimillion-pound tax raid unless they agree to help combat the terrorist threat to Britain, which is at its worst "for 100 years", the security minister revealed last night.

Ben Wallace accused internet firms of being "ruthless profiteers" that cost government a fortune by failing to assist the security services in identifying terrorists and stamping out extremism online.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Wallace said reliance on the internet means Britain is vulnerable to terrorists and rogue states, admitting: "That's what keeps me awake at night. We are more vulnerable than at any point in the last 100 years."

The minister complained that the likes of Facebook, Google and YouTube have made life too easy for terrorists by refusing to...

• Get a load of this "threatening" letter! LOL!
..
He has stupidity and victim written all over his face. Typical Hillary voter/liberal. Remember when Hillary's star IT tard exposed top-secret black ops info to the masses? Then, when a request for the illegal server and all portable devices et. al be turned over by Hillary, IT tard® showed up on reddit, frantically trying to obtain help to remove incriminating emails from an encrypted database. When the tard found out it couldnt be done, all the portable devices were smashed.
